Sometimes known as turtle rock, La Palapa is the best place on Curacao for divers to see turtles in their natural environment. 

Access to the dive site is right from the beach, this can be a little tricky when the ocean is rough so caution is required.  

The reef system is unlike most on curacao with the main attraction requiring you to swim into the blue to find the pinnacle and the famous residents. The midwater swim evokes a sensation of flying as you leave one section of the reef in search of the next.  You are likely to be rewarded by multiple green turtles, resting in small crevices or gliding peacefully across the reef. 

La Palapa is suitable for open water divers but being comfortable in open water and confident in your buoyancy is a must. Safety is always our top priority and your guide will ensure everyone feels prepared and capable before beginning the dive.
